Our Atmosphere

What makes LifeWater unique is the atmosphere in which we strive to accomplish our core values.

1) No Soul Left Behind

The focus of our ministry is on individuals, not masses. We never want to grow to the place where we lose sight of each person or family. There is something special when a church knows everyone's name. The love and caring is powerful, and the accountability is effective. Our focus is not on programs but on individual people. Our services are simple but creative. Our emphasis is not on how big we can get but on how deep we can become. We want to be a growing church, but never at the expense of losing sight of individuals.

2) Live It Out Loud

We believe that people today are in search of truth. There is only one place to find truth and that is the Bible. Our ministry is more concerned with Biblical truth than wise words. We want our people to know more about the Bible than what is written in Christian or philosophy books. We want our people to know what and why they believe. We want our people to be able to defend their faith based on scripture. Our services do not just talk about the Bible, they teach the Bible, and our people are motivated to let God change them. Our Pastors search the scriptures, discern what God is saying to them, and share this with the church, without shortcuts or internet outlines.

3) Give Back

We consider stewardship to be very important, but we are not controlled or consumed by money. Money does not drive our decisions, God does. We want our people to understand the Biblical principles of giving. We want our people to give out of their faith and worship to God, not out of feelings of guilt or from a motivational sales pitch. We also want our ministry to be free to do whatever God calls us to do. We do not want to be so financially stretched that we are unable to answer the call of God. That is why, when LWCC began, there were no paid staff. As the church has grown we have added paid staff based on giving and need. The church is run by Spirit-led and gifted leaders who volunteer their time. As God blesses us with financial resources the leadership will carefully consider God's next step for LifeWater.

4) Got God

Our number one goal is to keep up with where God is leading. We want LWCC to be the church that God wants, not what man wants. Our ministry wants to follow God's plan more than man's models. We believe that God is big enough to do anything He chooses and so we do not want to put Him in a box and say He will only develop our church in "this" way. We have no five-year plan. We have no target audience. We have no traditional church planting strategy. Our whole strategy and plan is to listen to God and obey Him. Every step of the way, in the history of our church, God has opened up the right door at the right time to do what He has called us to do. We have faith that He will continue to lead us in this way.

Due to these atmospheric focuses you can tell that the way we do "church" may be a little different from the average church in America. We believe that this does not make our ministry better or worse than other church ministries...just different.
